Bertha’s Cottage, two bedrooms, is ideally positioned to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Lake District with the market town of Broughton-in-Furness  just three miles away. Further delights such as the charming village of Coniston and Hawkshead, favoured by Beatrix Potter,  are also within a short drive.

Parking is  adjacent to the cottage, once inside, the kitchen, lounge including bedroom one with en-suite shower room is on one level, stairs lead from the lounge to the upstairs second en-suite bedroom.

Entrance is into the lounge with further access from the rear of the cottage via the utility room housing the washer and fridge freezer with  storage for boot and outdoor clothes. From the utility room/porch you enter into the open plan kitchen-diner and lounge.

The pleasant lounge has comfy seating, wood burning stove, Free View TV & DVD player. This the perfect place to relax with a coffee, a glass of wine or simply to sit and daydream after a day  exploring the nearby fells.

The modern cottage kitchen offers plenty of space being well appointed, the kitchen benefits from electric oven and hob, microwave & dishwasher.

From the living area access to the ground floor double bedroom and modern en suite. The romantic bedroom accommodates a double bed from which you can wake to enjoy the mountain views. The en suite bathroom offers a walk in wet room shower, W.C & basin.

Upstairs there’s the second bedroom with a double bed & small single bed (when required).  Vaulted ceiling, exposed beams & velux window with an exceptional view towards White Pike.
